Review: What’s it like to play a Pearl River GP188A grand piano? First of all, the piano feels solid. The cabinet and finishing are exceptional. Professional spraying and finishing make this piano mirror gloss black. From a playing perspective, the touch is even throughout. At pianissimo, mezzo-forte and fortissimo, the touch feels consistent and responsive. The sound is warm and focused – what I would consider “uncomplicated” by unwanted overtones. The bass is rounder feeling and more “accompaniment” to the mid range while the top is a touch brighter and sparkly. The model indicates the size. At 188cm long, that translates into 6’2″ long – a beautiful size to deliver a deep, resonant sound and perfect for any household. ~ Glen Barkman
